Installing and upgrading#
UrbanCode™Velocity consists of services and other tools that are stored in Docker containers. You can install the containers with the container orchestrator Docker Compose, or with Kubernetes. Kubernetes is preferred for production environments.
You can upgrade the product in several ways:
- Upgrade from one edition to another, such as upgrading from the Community Edition to the Standard Edition.
- Upgrade from an earlier version to a more recent one.
While not actually an upgrade, you might want to move from a Docker Compose environment to a Kubernetes environment when you are ready to put UrbanCodeVelocity into production.
The installation roadmap is a description of the high-level steps for installing UrbanCode™ Velocity.
