Overview of UrbanCode Velocity#

Use UrbanCode Velocity tools to standardize and automate your release lifecycle, and its analytic tools to manage your DevOps value stream.

UrbanCode Velocity is an enterprise-scale release management application that supports both cloud-native and on-premises deployment tools. Use UrbanCode Velocity to move releases through your development cycle's phases, from preproduction to production. You create and implement a predictable schedule of releases for your software applications. If you use team-based planning software, you can integrate related changes to your release plan to make your plan comprehensive and clear. Your release plan and status can be shared with all stakeholders so that they know the schedule and the key milestones and can identify issues that might delay releases.

The value stream provides a strategic window into your project workflow and enables you to drill-down to individual objects. The objects, such as builds, pull requests, issues, and tests, come from tools that you integrate into the value stream. Individual objects are represented graphically by dots or particles. Particles frequently provide information from logically related tools, such as issues linked to source control.

The Insights metric data tools enable you to assess your projects' efficiency and quality. You can measure every aspect of the development lifecycle with the supplied charts. You can create your own charts with metric definitions and upload custom data to UrbanCode Velocity using the API endpoints. Because UrbanCode Velocity data can come from plug-ins and API calls, project data can come from virtually anywhere, including planing and development tools, testing and build applications, and deployment processes.

Integrating with your UrbanCode Deploy environments, you can request reports based on your criterion from data retrieved from your UrbanCode Deploy environment. In addition, to reports that your create there are several out-of-the-box reports that you can use right away. Using filters, you can customize the data to view.

UrbanCode Velocity is available in two editions: the Trial edition which is free to use for 60 days, and the licensed Standard Edition. Both editions are full-featured and can accommodate unlimited concurrent users.
